CYP Club Cares (the service board of the Columbus Young Professionals Club) is hosting a group volunteer activity to serve meals at the Community Shelter Board's Van Buren Center. While those experiencing homelessness focus on their road to stability, CSB aims to alleviate some of their stress by working with corporate and community groups to provide daily meals during their emergency shelter stay.
As part of this service project, our volunteers will help:
• Prepare the dining room
• Serve meals to shelter guests
• Clean up dining room and kitchen
A couple of notes for those wishing to sign-up: Closed-toe shoes are required, volunteers will not be fed, all visitors must go through security (metal detector and cursory bag check), and taking photographs is prohibited.
All volunteers for this event will need to sign this liability waiver. Afterwards we will go to a local brewery for food and beverages. Feel free to join us.
Please make sure you are definitely able to attend before registering so we can maintain an accurate head count. Please plan to arrive between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30p.m. Additional details will be e-mailed to you!
